What This Site Is
CzechClimb covers rock climbing in the Czech Republic — specifically sandstone areas, limestone crags, outdoor training locations and the club infrastructure that organises the community. The focus is practical: access notes, grade information, seasonal conditions, gear requirements and community contacts.
The site does not cover alpine climbing in the traditional sense (there are no high mountains in Czechia), ski touring, via ferrata or hiking, except where these connect directly to climbing approach routes.
How We Approach Information
Every crag description on this site reflects a physical visit. We do not aggregate from other websites or copy from printed guidebooks. Where access rules or seasonal closures change, we update pages as soon as we are aware of the change — the date visible at the top of each article reflects the last confirmed update, not the original publication date.
For rules governing specific national park areas, we rely on official sources: the Bohemian Switzerland National Park and the Czech Mountaineering Association. Where we cannot verify current access conditions, we say so explicitly.
